Waiting for soaps? Curiosity killed the cat...

So I am waiting for my several batches of soap to be completely cured (4 to 6 weeks is really a long time!). I do not feel like continuing experimenting with combinations of oils and textures until I try the ones I make and I can judge by myself which one I like best.
So... what to do in the meanwhile?
In this craft more you research more you end up discovering things that require further research! For example, I made a lotion bar (using cocoa butter, beeswax and other oils) I didn't like the texture, too oily for my hands that are very particular in terms of what they like. So how can I improve that? Oh well, doomed the day I found emulsifiers and the enourmous potential for making creams, lotions, detergents, etc... Wait, is it possible? Can I do it? Of course I was using mostly American resources so the suppliers were unavailable to me, living in the South of Italy.... but.. May there be anything similar in Italy? Oh yes, I found Glamour Cosmetics and was immediately sucked in an expensive but oh hell, rewarding, new hobby. Simultaneously I found a forum with very experience diy cosmetic fans and designer that started to give me a glipmse of the enourmous potential of this hobby... Can I stop buying horrible shampoo and cheap hand soap? Can I make a conditioner that would make my damaged hair feel soft? Maybe I can even create an intimate detergent! Oh well...
I know I made the rookie mistake of getting a lot of supplies (making a lovely and clear list now to make sure I have what I think I have!), but I have at least 7 recipes to try by the end of the week and can't wait to see how it goes.

Oh, I have tried it of course, got a few supplies that allowed me to make a conditioner for my hair, super basic, super easy and hell, I like it! I also made a cream from Bumblebee & Me, modifying some ingredients, and a face cream of my complete invention which even if it's not the best for this crazy summer temperatures, has have the role of teaching me some important lessons in terms of oils and ingredients, and I have copied ( a bit freely) a recipe from this italian forum for a hand cream. This is one of my most important goals. I need a hand cream I like. I tried many, and many weren't for me. This winter for the first time I have suffered more than usual, and the summer has started and I still have red areas, inflamation, and worst of all, cut, they just open and I don't want to think how much it will hurt to go to the beach. You must think my skin is dry but is not really, so any creams with a large grease base leave my hands super oily and anything for greasy skin doesn;t help with the moisturing. Get what I mean?!?!
I'll be sharing my first adventures with you.... hoping you can learn from my mistakes!
