If you read POST 1 and POST 2 you know I've been researching a bit to create a cleansing milk that would fit me. I want something with a milky texture (liquid but not like water), I want to be able to put some on my palm and be able to pass it on my slightly wet face creating some gentle foam and then rinsing it away. And finally I want my face after to feel clean, dry and opaque (and if it can control a bit the sweat and shinny feeling of the summer, even better!)

So with this in mind I set up to experiment. I basically took the recipe you found in POST 1 and the other one in POST 2 and used them as inspiration, taking what I liked the most of them, and creating something different.

This is my recipe. (Total SAL 4)

Phase A

Water to 100

Glicerine 4

Xanthan 0.5

Phase B

Castor Oil 3

Grapeseed Oil 2

Jojoba Oil 1.5

Cetyl Alcohol 1.5

Behenyl Alcohol 1

GC Derm 2

Phase C

Panthenol 0.5

Hydrolized proteine (silk) 2

Vitamin E 0.05

Coco Glucoside 2

Disodium Cocoamphodiacetato 3

Preservative 0.5

Cocamidropropyl Betaine 6

Perfume (Iris & Talc)

My first impression is that this product has a lovely milky texture. Stays in the hand (I put it in a pump bottle which seems to be a perfect solution) and it's easy to spread on the face. Doesn't burn the eyes and even if it doesn't make much foam, it feels quite decent and it's easy to rinse. After the face feels smooth and clean, and it would be perfect as a first step on a morning beauty routine to be followed by a tonic, a gel and a cream.

Great first experiment!
