My first hair conditioner (loving it!)

I started with a hair conditioner cause the recipe looked simple enough and the ingredientes were things I could find around and what I couldn't wasn't that important!

So.... how did it go are you asking? I'm loving it! I bleached my hair a while ago, I shave my side and I color it regularly (grey hairs, oh you grey hairs!). I struggle with shampoo and conditioner and been using an oil product after showers to get a bit of that softness that was only a memory for me. New conditioner (still waiting for shampoo bars to cure and liquid shampoo surfactants to arrive!)... so simple and such lovely results! My hair is soft! It's finally soft! of course still looks damaged, got split ends, and all, but it feels sotf to the touch and I adore that!
Want to discover it yourself? It's easy!

Recipe *from Bumblebee & me
Phase A
3 gr BTMS-50
3 gr Jojoba oil
4 gr Olive oil (I reeplaced with Almond oil)
Phase B
80 gr distilled water
1 gr silk peptide (didin;t have this the first time I made it)
10 gr vegetable glycerine
0.3 gr aloe vera podwer 200:1 (didn;t have this so left it out)
Phase C
20 drops essential oil (I used geranium)
1 drop vitamin E
0.5 gr preservative
I liked starting with this recipe because the ingredients are simple, the process is simple and BTMS-50 seems like a reliable emulsifier that was so easy to work with. I made the recipe originally without the peptide and the aloe vera podwer.
As I said, this recipes was good to understand the basics, you have to heat up phase A and B in separate containers (pyrex like are good) until it reaches 70 degrees (didin't check that up the first time!). Then both phases can be combined (water into oil) and worked with a stick blender to help emulsify. I doubled the recipe the first time and it was honestly so much easier to work with (less bubbles! It;s important no air gets into the preparation!).
After mixing both parts it's necessary to continue mixing maybe every five minutes to avoid separation of our ingredients.
Finally, when the mix is at 40/45 degrees (you'll see it's much thicker by now) we can add Phase C. Mix thoroughly and let it sit till it's completely cool and can be pour into the container.
That easy!!!!!!
I have been using this conditioner for a week now (washing my hair every day or every other day) and I love it! I love it in the shower (I used quite a bit and usually twice) and after is dry. While it dries the feeling is not so nice, but the day after is fantastic!
*Update: I've prepared the conditioner for a friend and added the sillk peptide. I'm thinking next time I'll bring up the porcentage of BTMS-50 to get even more conditioning. And, another change I want to make, is to add inuline, which helps detangle hair.
