Humectant gel experiment

Since my little problem with the niacinamide, I started to think of making a new gel (since the recipes I had weren't so interesting without that as main ingredient!). I wanted something really humectant that I can use after washing my face and before using my multivitaminic face cream (which I am loving!).

So, the first challenge is to create a nice gel, and having different possibilities I decided to try two options:
water and xanthan gum with carbopol
water and xanthan gum with aristoflex
In terms of humectants I'm going to include some panthenol and sodium ialuronate and I'm planning to be able to exploit the capacities of some extracts, especially cucumber (which is astringent) and echinocea (which is good for cicatrization and it's lenitive).
I tried these two recipes:
Water to 100 (91.5)
Carbopol Ultres 21 0.2
Xanthan Gum 0.3
Glicerine 3
Panthenol 0.5
Sodium Ialuronate 1
EG Cucumber 2
EG Echinocea 1
Salvacosm PC 0.5
Water to 100 (91.4)
Xanthan Gum 0.3
Aristoflex AVC 0.3
Glicerine 3
Skin Revit 1.5
Panthenol 0.5
Sodium Ialuronate 1
EG Cucumber 1.5
Salvacosm PC 0.5
So the results are quite similar in terms of effect on the skin, the feeling is a bit different but need to still be assessed. They do look nice though!
