Another one of those recipes I really wanted to try was the whipped body butter. After watching a video it just looked so pretty and fluffly... And the recipe is so simple and seems to make the ingredients, all natural and so good for your skin, protagonist of a luxurious butter that it's not too oily and absorbs quite well without leaving that heavy oily feeling some lotions leave... Shall we go?

Recipe:
This recipe calls for 4 parts of oils and butters and just essential oils as desired, this is why you can choose the amount thinking of how much butter you want to make (the butter will last for months if kept in a place without light and a temperature not higher than 24 degrees). I chose these...
Shea Butter
Cocoa Butter
Coconut Oil
Sweet Almond Oil

I was planning to do lavender, but in a moment of inspiration I ended up going for the eucalyptus essence and this was a great idea! The parfum is strong but soothing and makes of this a great body butter to put on just before going to bed.
The first step is to measure your ingredients. I went with 32 grams of each and ended up with a pot of 300ml which I think will last me for about 3 weeks.

Since 3 of my ingredients were in solid form (shea butter, cocoa oil and coconut oil) I melted them together and only afterwards I added the sweet almond oil. MIxed a bit by hand to incorporate them and then let the mix sit there for quite a while (honestly I was busy doing other things!). Then i added the essential oils, about 20 drops, though I added a few more cause I wanted to emphasise the parfum.
Once this was done I put it in the freezer for about 45 minutes. Maybe you want to check your mix after 30 minutes since it must be hard but not solid or it will be impossible to whip!
And now is where the fun began, put your mix into a bowl and get your hand mixer and time to start whipping. You will see when it's ready since it'll turn white and fluffy! Then all you have to do is pass it into a proper container and use! (Since doing this I have seen that some people recommend to let it sit in the fridge for 15 minutes before passing it inot a container, I'll try that next).

Benefits of Eucalyptus:
Ideal against colds and breathing issues
Has antibacterial properties and repels insects
Relieves muscle pain
Stimulates your brain and helps you relax
Speeds up healing of skin wounds and eczema
It's also used as an antifungal
How to preserve your body butter?
Keep it away of moisture and direct light. Using a spoon instead of your fingers will also help last longer. If the room is at a temperature higher than 24 degrees, you may want to keep it in the fridge, since its texture may be affected by the heat. It can last till up to 8 months.
How should I use my body butter?
I enjoy this before going to bed cause it doesn't leave that oily layer on my skin. I can put this on and 2 minutes later I will be in bed. This eucalyptus body butter is great for those moments in which you feel tired and worn, or when you have muscle pain, or a hot night in the summer. It's a refreshing body butter that leaves your skin moistured and soft. Just take a bit with a spoon and treat yourself to a lovely moment!
